Cookie Policy
Last updated: 23 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how IndexMachine (“we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies (such as browser local storage) on our website and dashboard. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. “Local storage” is a related technology that lets a site keep small amounts of data in your browser. Together they let a site remember things between page loads — for example, that you are signed in.
2. How we use them
We keep our use deliberately minimal:
- Strictly necessary — authentication. When you sign in to the dashboard we store your session tokens in your browser’s local storage so you stay logged in. The Service cannot work without these.
- Strictly necessary — preferences. We store small settings such as your cookie-consent choice so we don’t ask again.
- Optional — analytics. If, and only if, you choose “Accept analytics” on our banner, we load Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets its own cookies (
_gaand similar) and reports aggregate usage to Google. Decline, or simply ignore the banner, and the Google script is never loaded and no analytics cookie is ever set.
We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or third-party marketing pixels. We do not sell your data.
3. Third-party cookies
Payment and email delivery are handled by third-party providers when you make a purchase or receive transactional email; those providers may set their own cookies on their own pages, governed by their policies. The only third-party script we embed on this site is Google Analytics, and only after you accept it (see above). We embed no advertising trackers.
4. Managing cookies
Analytics is optional and off until you accept it. You can change your mind at any time via the Cookie settingslink in the footer — choosing “Necessary only” stops analytics from loading on your next page view; clear your browser storage for this site to also remove any cookie Google has already set. The strictly necessary items are different: they are required for the Service to work, so blocking them may prevent you from signing in or using the dashboard. You can clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.
